Morris & Co

Morris & Co, the interiors company of the Arts and Crafts icon William Morris came to us to produce a packaging presentation to promote their paint collection to trade buyers. The brief was to create a sustainable yet premium presentation box in keeping with the legacy of William Morris, who was not only a designer but environmental campaigner.

What looks like a simple pack is actually a complex packaging project produced using high quality materials. The client supplied the content priorities and their expectations around a high quality and refined finish. Our cardboard engineer created a complex design to meet these requirements housing the four paints, canvas, swatch book, paint brush and mini look book.

This project really played to our strengths; conceptualised in house, high quality materials and print and hand worked finished all in house; enabling full control of all processes. Our design and sampling team went over and above to maintain the sustainability credentials of this pack as required by the client and our company values.

This job was also produced at the maximum size for digital print allowing a cost effective and minimal waste production of this short run packaging project. The way the client wanted the items arranged gave us design and make up challenges, this was overcome with our experienced CAD cutting and hand assembly skills.

Our highly experienced hand assembly team fully drew together all the elements; corner staying, pre folding, hand gluing, layering up all the elements to fully construct a complex and refined fitment. The ribbon lifts were added as a necessity to ensure the refined and easy access of the contents.

Our client was particularly pleased with the end result and had great feedback.
